Do I Really Have a Cockroach Problem?

If you've seen a cockroach, especially in daylight, there's a good chance more are hiding. Cockroaches are nocturnal and prefer the dark. Their presence often points to a wider infestation. They thrive in warm, damp areas like kitchens and bathrooms, and they’re quick to settle in. Our process helps confirm their presence, identify the cause, and take decisive action.

What’s Included in Our Cockroach Treatment?

We offer a comprehensive two-visit treatment, with a third visit available at no extra cost if there’s still activity after 20 days. This is part of our commitment to doing the job properly.

Visit 1 – Inspection & Gel Bait Treatment:

    • First, we identify the species – German, Oriental, or otherwise – because different cockroaches require different tactics.

    • A professional-grade gel bait is applied. It works through the colony, reaching the ones you don’t see as cockroaches spread it among themselves.

    • We also place non-toxic sticky traps to monitor and manage the population.

Visit 2 – Residual Spray Treatment:

    • A targeted, long-lasting spray is applied to key hiding places. This is safe and highly effective but requires you and any pets to vacate for 6 hours during application.

    • This second stage helps knock out any remaining cockroaches and disrupts breeding.

    Visit 3 – Follow-Up (If Needed):

    • If activity continues after 20 days, we’ll return as a goodwill gesture. It's our way of standing by the quality of our service and ensuring you feel supported throughout.

    What Does It Cost?

    No. of Rooms Cost
    1-2 Bedroom Property From £210
    3-4 Bedroom Property From £290
Larger Homes or Commercial Properties POA - we'll assess and quote accordingly

    Signs of Cockroaches

    • Sightings – especially at night or in dark, warm places like kitchens and bathrooms.
    • Droppings – small, black specks resembling pepper.
    • Smear Marks – dark streaks on walls or surfaces where cockroaches have been.
    • Egg Cases (Oothecae) – brown, capsule-like cases hidden in crevices.
    • Musty Odour – larger infestations often come with a distinctive smell.

    Why Choose Us?

    • We don’t just spray and leave. We take time to find out why cockroaches are present and how to help stop them coming back.
    • Our treatments use professional-standard products with fast-acting and long-lasting effects – far more effective than anything available in shops.
    • Safety and care are at the heart of what we do. Our technicians apply treatments with your family, pets, and property in mind.

    How Should You Prepare?

    • Before we arrive, clear and clean under sinks and around appliances. It helps us reach the right areas and makes treatments more effective.
    • After spraying, avoid cleaning treated surfaces for at least 14 days to let the treatment do its work.
    • You might still spot some cockroaches for a little while – that’s perfectly normal. The treatment is working.

    FAQs: Cockroaches

1What attracts cockroaches in your home?
Cockroaches are drawn to warmth, moisture, and food. Leaky pipes, crumbs, open bins, and clutter all make perfect conditions for them.
2How do we get rid of Cockroaches?
We use a combination of professional bait and spray treatments that work together to eliminate cockroach colonies at all life stages. Our approach targets both the visible pests and the hidden ones.
    3What are cockroaches afraid of?
Cockroaches naturally avoid light and sudden movements. However, they are resilient and not easily scared away permanently without treatment.
4What is the lifespan of a cockroach?
Depending on the species, cockroaches can live from several months up to a year. During that time, they can produce hundreds of offspring, which is why swift action is key.
5Will a roach crawl on me in my sleep?
It’s possible, especially if you have a large infestation. Cockroaches seek out food and moisture, including from humans, during the night.

How do you find a cockroach nest?

Cockroaches don’t form “nests” in the way some pests do, like ants or wasps. Instead, they aggregate in preferred harbourages – warm, dark, and humid areas close to food and water sources. These harbourages can be behind fridges, under sinks, inside cupboards, wall voids, or near pipework. Signs of these aggregations include clusters of droppings, shed skins, egg cases (oothecae), and a distinctive musty odour.

During a survey, we inspect these high-risk areas, using monitoring traps and professional experience to identify where cockroaches are gathering and breeding, allowing for targeted treatment.
